Asus new dual screened laptop

Asus has returned with the newest model in its line of dual-screened laptops, the Zenbook Duo. However, unlike earlier Duos, which featured a tiny secondary display above the keyboard, the updated model for 2024 features two identically sized 14-inch screens. Both of them are OLED screens with maximum resolutions of 2880 x 1800, 16:10 aspect ratios, and maximum refresh rates of 120 Hz. They provide 19.8 inches of usable screen real estate total between them.

With a few changes, it follows a similar strategy to Lenovo's dual-screen Yoga Book 9i from the previous year. Similar to Lenovo, Asus allows you to use a detachable physical Bluetooth keyboard or a virtual keyboard to type on the lower touchscreen. This keyboard, however, differs in that it comes with an integrated trackpad from Asus, eliminating the need for you to use it in conjunction with an on-screen trackpad.

Asus envisions you utilizing the new Zenbook Duo in various setups. In the standard laptop mode, a conventional keyboard and trackpad completely enclose the bottom screen. Alternatively, you can place the keyboard on your desk and arrange the two screens in "Desktop" or "Dual Screen" mode, respectively, with the vertical and horizontal orientations. The last option is "Sharing" mode, which requires you to completely remove the keyboard and place the laptop on a flat surface with both screens pointing upward and away from one another. The purpose of this is probably to enable you to share your work with a coworker who is seated across the desk from you.

It goes without saying that the Asus Zenbook Duo has more contemporary hardware given that it was released a year later than its rival. Up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, 32GB of RAM, up to 2TB of storage, and a 75Wh battery are among its configuration options. The laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A port, an HDMI out, a 3.5mm jack, and compatibility for an Asus stylus. When the laptop is not in use, the Bluetooth keyboard can be carried between the two screens and charged by attaching to the pogo pins on the bottom screen's edges.

This year at CES, Asus is showcasing a plethora of laptops, among them the Zenbook Duo (2024). In addition, the business offers new Vivobook laptops, such as the 15.6-inch Vivobook Pro 15 OLED, which has a configurable configuration that includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, a dedicated Nvidia RTX GPU, up to 24GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage. It also features laptops from the 15- and 16-inch Vivobook S series, which have OLED screens and a selection of the newest AMD and Intel processors, though no mention of dedicated GPUs.

Lastly, there are a few gaming laptops bearing the TUF name, such as the recently released F16, A16, and A15 models. While the A16 comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX and RTX 4070 graphics card, the F16 sports an Intel Core i7 13650HX processor and an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU. Both feature a selection of 16-inch 165Hz LCD screens (with varying precise resolutions), up to 32GB RAM, and 2TB of storage. A 15-inch 2.5K LCD display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, an AMD Ryzen 8000-series processor with an RTX 4070 GPU, up to 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage are available for the smaller TUF Gaming A15. More RAM and storage can be added to all three laptops.
